A Celebration of Love: Carla & Rogier’s Destination Wedding in the Heart of the German Tuscany

Some weddings go beyond the expected. They don’t just mark a beautiful day — they create a memory that lingers in the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to be there. Carla and Rogier’s wedding was exactly that kind of celebration.

Set in the picturesque town of Neustadt an der Weinstraße, more precisely in the charming district of Gimmeldingen, the couple chose the stunning Netts venue as the backdrop for their union. This part of Germany, nestled in the Palatinate region, is affectionately known as the German Tuscany and for good reason. With its rolling vineyards, warm Mediterranean-style climate, and the joyful spirit of the people from Pfalz, it’s a place that instantly makes you feel like you’re on a romantic holiday.

That feeling was magnified by the fact that this was a destination wedding. Carla and Rogier, along with nearly all of their guests, had made the journey from the Netherlands to celebrate in this unique corner of the world. And that distance gave the celebration an even more special energy it wasn’t just a wedding; it was a shared adventure, a weekend filled with togetherness, laughter, and meaningful connection.

For me, this wedding was particularly meaningful. Not only was I honored to capture such a special day, but I also had the joy of reuniting with my former colleagues from Mein Event people with whom I’ve shared more laughter and memories than I can count. Being back with them, in the middle of such a beautiful celebration, reminded me of just how powerful shared experiences can be. It was like coming home, surrounded by familiar smiles, inside jokes, and genuine camaraderie.

But above all, it was the love between Carla and Rogier that stole the show. It was present in every glance they exchanged, every smile, every quiet moment they shared when no one else was watching.
